I really liked the last “secret”. This is so true! I am so quick to try to satisfy myself instantly, with a scratch..or some food I’m craving. I KNOW that it will go away, but I seldom wait it out. Today I will try. Thanks.

I know that Chuck & I do not share the same spiritual beliefs, but my comment regarding the “3 Secrets” is AMEN, BROTHER! (literally, because Chuck is my brother!)
) Honestly, I too have been working on implementing these very principles in my life for the last 5 years, and have since been a much happier person. These are pearls of wisdom found in the Bible. Although I was aware of these truths, I always appreciate another’s perspective and I really liked the analogies and examples that were used. It is hard to say which resonates most with me, but I will have to go with #1. I have not mastered this by any means, but the longer I work at it, the better I get at controlling my reactions and emotions. I also really liked how Chuck said he did not fall into complaining like the others at the event he attended. I believe not complaining is key to having an “attitude of gratitude” and finding contentment. I believe #2 also ties in with this; being in state of wanting leads to ungratefulness, which leads to misery, just as Chuck has shared with us. Thanks, Chuck, for sharing this with all of us on YOUR birthday! Happy Birthday, brother!

Your secrets are available for everyone and can make a huge impact on your life. I agree with Leslie that these truths also have a biblical basis I just studied a wonderful book by James McDonald LORD CHANGE MT ATTITUDE before it is too late. I highly recommend it. Although I am a work in progress I am making an effort to change the negative attitudes in my life, be happier in all circumstances, and has given me a peace in my life. Others around you respond to this new attitude. Relace a complaining attitude with thankfulness, replace a covetous attitude with contentment and replace a critical attitude wth love.
