Breakfast

  • Mango smoothie
    • Fresh mango
    • Almond milk
  • “Kitchen sink” fruit salad – whatever was lying around in the fridge.  :-)
    • Watermelon
    • Pineapple
    • Apple
    • Pear
    • Peach

Lunch / Snack

  • Mixed nuts
  • Raw vegan chocolate shake

Dinner

  • Leftover muesli with leftover fruit
  • Frozen mango treat (really just leftover mango smoothie kept in the freezer)

Raw Cashew Pear Muesli – Raw Food Meals 10/25/2008

Today’s first meal – Cashew Pear Muesli:

  • Steel-cut (not rolled) oats, soaked overnight
  • Chopped raw cashew nuts
  • Chopped pear
  • Raisins
  • Dried apricot
  • Flax seed meal
  • Home-made raw almond milk

Strawberry Banana Smoothie – Raw Food Meals 10/22/2008

Includes:

  • Strawberries
  • Bananas
  • Orange juice
  • Almond milk
  • Flax seed meal

It’s been pretty hectic lately. I don’t remember what I had for lunch. Ah yes, I had lunch out because of a business meeting. It was a garden burger. Ugh, I got really sleepy afterwards and had trouble concentrating the rest of the afternoon. It’s probably full of high glycemic load carbs.

But for dinner I had Raw Spaghetti. I didn’t get a chance to snap a video of it tonight, but you can see it in tomorrow’s post (click on the Raw Spaghetti link) where I had leftovers for lunch.

Soaking and Sprouting: 5 Projects

Without meaning to, I ended up getting involved in 5 soaking and sprouting projects this weekend.

  • Sprouting black-eyed peas, for a dinner dish coming up in a few days.

  • Soaking rice, for a dinner dish tomorrow evening.
  • Soaking wheat berries, for a muesli breakfast tomorrow morning.

Raw Muesli and More – Meals 10/11/2008

Breakfast

  • Mixed fresh fruit – kiwi, grapes, pears, grapefruit, orange, etc.
  • Muesli – raw oats, banana, and raisins in almond milk

Lunch

  • Lettuce leaves with hummus spread on them, and on top add various veggies like alfalfa sprouts, yellow beans, zucchini, celery, and cherry tomatos.
  • After lunch I overdosed on sweets – 8 Trader Joe’s vegan trail mix cookies, dried mango, and dried banana. I got really sleepy afterwards. Another sugar crash like with the raw goji cheesecake?

Dinner

  • Fresh fruit salad, similar to breakfast
  • Raw apple cobbler
